So I was invited to an anarcho-syndicalist dinner party the other night... no, thats not the lead in to an off-color joke (well, not exclusively anyway). It's billed as a "black tie - black flag" event which got me to thinking about the acres of unfinished chain mail I have boxed up in the shop (that also happens to be black). One thing led to another and after a fair amount of trial and error I had this. I did some searching too and while it has been done before, just as often as you might guess, most of the results were less than convincing (example: [link] ). I settled on a revised persian maille pattern for the head transitioning to 4in1 on the flap and a half persian chain around the neck. Hard to believe I've had some of these scraps for four years now, may need to make a series of it...
