These are a bit difficult to catch with a picture. When you close them the temple arms retract and the ear hoops pivot under for compact(ish) storage. Also, the bridge (the part that rests on your nose), is spring loaded, extending another few cm when worn.
I want a pair! I've already been daydreaming about polarized lenses, where rotating one lens rotates the other! (possibly spring loaded, so they return to "normal")
These are simply awesome... I can see some D&D esque gnome inventor wearing them, some mad steampunk era scientist, or a Airship captain. Truely a work of art. If they are ever sold, let me know. I dearly want a pair.
Thank you,
Funny you should mention that, it was(more or less) the original design for my manual transition specs, a pulley system to rotate the forward lens mounts evenly and watch springs to maintain tension... but I never did come up with a decent (discrete) bearing setup.
Thank you, but I’m afraid I won’t be reproducing these. The levers are just too finicky and I can’t tell you how many #60 drill bits those temples ate through

Wish I had a pair!
